When words fade...

Night, the beloved.  Night, when words fade and things come alive.  When the destructive analysis of day is done, and all that is truly important becomes whole and sound again.  When man reassembles his fragmentary self and grows with the calm of a tree.

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

The night comes alive...

I often think that the night is more alive and more richly colored than the day.
Vincent van Gogh

Dreams permit each and every one of us to be quietly and safely insane every night of our lives.
William Dement

Who remembers what they dreamed about last night?? I do and I have no idea where it came from, but it definitely was colorful... and maybe not in a good way.

When it's dark enough...

When it is dark enough, you can see the stars
Charles A. Beard

I had to think about this one for a minute or so and then I realized what he was trying to say. Not sure that I want to see those stars quite that much, but I do understand.

Just six little words that come to light...

Night is a world lit by itself.  ~Antonio Porchia

All you have to do is look at a city from the top of a hill and you see what he means. It's almost magical!

A new way of looking at things!

Adversity not only draws people together, but brings forth that beautiful inward friendship.
Soren Kierkegaard

I never quite thought of it in that way!  I guess I'm just not wired that way!

If you are going to argue...

Make sure you never, never argue at night.
You just lose a good night's sleep,
and you can't settle anything until morning anyway.
Rose Kennedy

Can you really believe what they tell you?

I have spent so much time trying to find the perfect bed with no luck at all. I am beginning to wonder if there is such a bed.  Do bed salesmen really know how to sell you a bed that will work for your particular problem?? I'm beginning to wonder.

Can people really fall asleep this easily??

You have to love this!! Wouldn't it be amazing to really be able to fall asleep this easy? Actually, I had an uncle who could literally sleep ANYWHERE!!

**What is your depression level today? Is it improving? Join me again tomorrow as we work through our day together. *nothing but sunshine, heading our way... zippity do dah, zippity ah" We can thank Allie Wrubel wrote the music and Ray Gilbert wrote the lyrics.

Getting Ready For Tomorrow

Be content to grow a little each day. If the improvement is the sort of thing which is very slow, do not measure it too often. Do a self-comparison every two weeks or every six months, whatever is appropriate.

Bunnies Harvesting the Constellations

All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.
Pablo Picasso

One Sore Neck

I woke up with a horrendous neck ache this morning. I think that it's time to start looking for a new pillow. The one that I had worked fine for a while, but not anymore sad to say. I have pretty much tried every pillow on the market and have no idea which one to try next. If nothing, I think that I need to trade in this body for a new one.  I'm looking at this one... it looks pretty good! I like the idea of it being nice and cool, but will that be enough?? I hate to waste money on something that only promises to work. I need some recommendations... anyone??

oops, forgot the link and now I have lost it. If you have the perfect pillow, please leave me a comment before my neck falls off!

On My List For Tonight...

I found this quote just a few minutes ago and thought it perfect for this blog. It goes like this...

Most of the time, God speaks in a whisper... Jean Grasso Fitzpatrick

Tonight, I'm going to put on some quite music to lull myself to sleep and wait for God to whisper to me. I wonder what he might want me to know?

In the name of blame

A man can get discouraged many times, but he is not a failure until he begins to blame somebody else and stops trying.

John Burroughs
