Thoughts About Ghosts in the Night

Ghost fearImage by doug88888 via FlickrOn the other hand, what I like my music to do to me is awaken the ghosts inside of me. Not the demons, you understand, but the ghosts.
David Bowie

Now there is something to think about. I don't know if I have any ghosts inside of me to awaken!

Science fiction is no more written for scientists that ghost stories are written for ghosts.
Brian Aldiss
He does have a point lol.

Shakespeare also introduces the supernatural into some of his tragedies; he introduces ghosts, and witches who have supernatural knowledge.
Andrew Coyle Bradley
I really need to hawl out my high school English books. I would probably enjoy them now more than when I was a teenager.

The Helicon of too many poets is not a hill crowned with sunshine and visited by the Muses and the Graces, but an old, mouldering house, full of gloom and haunted by ghosts.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Now there is a place to write a ghost story.  A mouldering house just scares you by thinking about it.

Thoughts about Tears

Tears of joy are like the summer rain drops pierced by sunbeams.
Hosea Ballou
*That's pretty much how I'm feeling right now. I just found out that my first grandchild will be a girl!

To weep is to make less the depth of grief.

William Shakespeare, King Henry the Sixth
*I guess that I need to invite William to dinner so he can explain this one to me! My tears usually make me feel worse... unless they are the happy kind.

It is some relief to weep; grief is satisfied and carried off by tears.

*I must be doing something wrong, because this doesn't work for me.

Those who do not know how to weep with their whole heart don't know how to laugh either.  Golda Meir

*Another one!! I'm going to have to find out what is wrong with me lol!

Tears are the safety valve of the heart when too much pressure is laid on it.

Albert Smith
*Maybe I'm just looking at the whole topic in the wrong light!!

Here's to a tear free day for everyone!

Is Your Guestroom Comfortable??

I thought so until my mom came for a visit a few months ago. There was a bed, a small table and somewhere for her to put her clothes. What I never thought of was the fact that there was no where for her to sit and possible read. (I did think to put some magazines in the room) And I never thought that a clock would be a nice touch too. Funny, the things you miss when you don’t use the room.
I did a bit of re-arranging and I positioned an easy chair in the corner by the bureau.  It looks far more cozy now.
